Hello fellas, i hope you are doing well. I have a TCS light on and a code 00647 - ABS-TCS / Engine; Electrical Connection 2 35-10 - - - Intermittent. Any ideas how to fix it? I already changed ABS pump Electric side but the code is still the same. I checked continuity on the wire from Abs electric side to ECU and it looks fine. Car is Audi A6 C5 1998 2.8. Any ideas?

I have changed ABS control module from another car with no lights. It looks like that my engine is swapped. On VIN plate is ALF which is 2.4 ,but if i check car by vin decoder it's ALG witch is 2.8. Maybe the pump is not for this engine.

It's good You know the coding table, but as we can see by Your autoscan, module is not coded.

I replaced ABS electric side which had 00003 coding. I coded to 00000 and ecu accepted it. What do you mean it's not coded?

Sorry, I didn't look carefully enough to all equipment of Your car. In Your case coding must be 00000. If module is not coded at all, it is 00000, too. Sorry!
8E0614111C fits both 2,4 and 2,8l engines.

Check wiring from ABS pin 27 to ECU pin 5. Green/black wire, goes through 2 multipin connectors: T15u - red in ECU housing, pin 7 and T10au - gray at right A-pillar connection point, pin 2.

Hello, I just checked the ABS pin 27 to Ecu pin 5 wiring and it has continuity. Any more ideas?

Does the part number on ECU match that one recognized by VCDS: 4D0907551AE?

One more thing to mention. When TCS light is on I can't connect to 01-Engine module. Usually, when i turn on the ignition, the TCS light is on and I can't start the car. I turn off the ignition, turn on ignition again and usually it will be gone, sometimes it takes couple of times until TCS light is gone. When it's gone, I can start the engine, but sometimes when I am on the road, engine cuts and I have to restart it.

As far as I can see by spare parts catalogue 4D0907551AE is for ALG engine but for Audi A4 or VW Passat B5. Probably wiring/pinouts are not 100% the same on A6.
Try to compare WD for A4 and A6 for connections of ABS and ECU

I will try to compare A4 and A6 WD. What do you think about engine cutting off with no reason and no communication with ecu when the TCS light is on?

I have seen exactly the same. Exactly ALF on sticker and another engine installed in car. It could be some missprinting of sticker, as VIN is on the same sticker. Don't care for it, let's focus on different ECU's and pinouts. You should have 4D0907551AF with ALG in A6.

By some reason ECU has interruptions of power supply. Main relay, aftermarket additional alarm/imo.

Actually this is the most important information. Probably You can leave alone ECU versions and ABS connections and check power supply circuits of ECU.

As I see you live in Latvia. Greeting from Lithuania ;) In my car i have Sheriff alarm. It's Russian alarm system. Do you think it could effect ABS and ecu intermittent power loss?
