^^^"Z101"? Never heard of it - clearly not a car that ever made it down here in the wilds of the Antipodes!!

Also clearly from the photos - a car that was prone to rust - albeit the driver's side seems to have had some work done to it compared to the picture of the passenger side in post #109. What year and how many kms?

Don

Z101 is short name "Zastava 101", nick name "Stojadin" or "Kec". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zastava_Skala

The white one is MY1981 and about 180.000km. Engine and gearbox never open, still good but the body was taken by rust. Date and time (photo ↑ #111) are correct.

My late father was the first and only owner, he did not want to sell it. When, in September, one year from his death, I'll dismantle it and vacate the parking spot.

Yes, it was cheaper than the cheapest. Only Yugo Koral GVX was interesting with 1300ccm and Bosch Motronik fuel injection/ignition.

At that time, the "ordinary" Yugo cost 10,000 DEM in Yugoslavia and all of us, young at the time, viewed GVX as an icon. ;)

Find photos. Few years ago, during winter, I repair one Yugo with 1300 and "two throttle" Weber. Simpatic little car. My friend still have and drive. ;)
