Can anyone confirm that a 2002 vw cabrio VIN 3vwdc21vx2m803667 does NOT have a EGR valve and that it might be replaced with some other named device.
I have searched and come up with nothing other than Secondary air control valve. On the bentley service manual 26_2 a diagram 26-887 shows on position 5 & 6 EGR valve (where applicable)

Hello,

- The EGR was used on 'California only' engines I believe and if the emissions sticker does not say 'California', then this engine uses a "Secondary Air Control Valve". (90% sure... been a while since I have seen one of these ;) )

- I did look it up and I am not a parts guy, but with the VIN number and PartsLink24.com it looks like you should have a "Secondary Air Control Valve" Part # [06A-131-351-D]

To be sure you should check with the dealer/manufacture on the application and part number by VIN.
