Is it expected that 25.3.1 is now saving autoscans in the Logs folder rather than the Scans folder? All of the Autoscans I've done since upgrading now go into the C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Logs folder and are labeled starting with "Log". While 25.3 had them go into the C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Scans folder and labeled starting with "Scan". I ask because it got me confused as I was comparing old scan data to new scan data.

The "Logs" folder will contain all USER saved data, while the "Scans" folder will contain all AUTOMATED/BACKGROUND saved data/scans. If a given scan exists only in "Scans" it implies that the USER never actually/intentionally saved it. Consider the "Scans" folder your "in case of emergency" location, because that is what we intended it to be as we know users tend to be lazy...

Always actively save your Auto-Scan results, then it will be in "Logs" as expected.

I could have sworn that I hit save when it saved in the Scans folder for the earlier release. Although it is 100% possible that I had the folder open, saw the new file get "saved" and assumed it was job done and that I had done what I needed to do.

For ease of use and be able to pull a scan at any given second given a VIN or license number, i usually save my scans of all my tools in a specific made desktop folder ( with a license plate number and where possible with the customers phone number ). It takes couple extra clicks but it s always visible. I wonder what would it take if in the process of installing VCDS the logs folder would be made visible on desktop ( as you install the vcds ). Perhaps with a name like VCDSLOG or something ?

Just create your own "VCDS Logs" shortcut on your desktop, we won't do that automatically as adding stuff to people's desktop is generally frowned upon these days... 😉 While I cannot speak for Uwe (and therefor the English installer/version), some of the non-English installers already have an option you can select during install.

I would have few questions and thought this thread might be a match.

I updated to 25.3.2 and it told me I need a firmware update, but when I connected VCDS interface there was no update available in VCDS Interface Config
my current versions are:
CB: 0.4671 -> there should be a newer version needed for beta, right?
FW: 0.258
CFB: 0.10
BL: 0.28

Also I see there is Beta 25.7.0 available, can be downloaded from your website, but not from VCDS software - is that meant to be like that? I marked "Releases and Betas" but says that no update is available.

I updated to 25.3.2 and it told me I need a firmware update,
"Needed"? Or "Recommended"? New versions generally recommend checking for firmware updates whether you need 'em or not.

0.4671 is the current Release CB firmware component.
0.4672 is on the Beta update channel. You can put your interface on the Beta update channel on the Advanced tab of the VCIConfig utility if you wish.

It might be because 25.3.2 is actually newer than 25.7.0. It was an interim branch release that added support for MY 2026. Don't worry, there's a 25.9.0 waiting in the wings. ;)

Tried using it June 16th.
Getting this:
Ross-Tech USB Interface Not Found!
USB Library Version 03.02.07
Interface: Not Found!

And when I plug usb:

This driver has been blocked
RT-USB64.SYS does not pass the Windows driver

Core Isolation parameter (sorry in french but all de-activated):

Thanks in advance for your help!
