Hello to ALL...this is my first post on this forum. I have a 2007 Audi Q7 that has been a rock-solid vehicle for several years, it now has 103k miles on it. Several weeks ago after Sunday breakfast, we all piled into the Q7 and I started it up. It cranked over for several seconds longer than normal and then started up. We then drove about a mile to get home and when we arrived it was running rough. I then shut it off an restarted and it was running very rough and would not idle at all.
I did an Auto-Scan and below is a summary of the malfunctions and the codes are shown further down below:
Hard to believe that this vehicle was running fine just hours before and now look at all this!!! Since this is an FSI motor I decided to look at the intake valves for carbon build-up, and they were pretty bad. I also saw that there was some oil in the spark plug wells, and the plugs looked pretty bad too. So I cleaned up all the valves, installed new cam cover gaskets, new plugs, and bolted everything back together. I crossed my fingers and hit the "start" button and as I figured, it still ran like crap. However I did manage to fix the misfires. Below is an Auto-Scan after all the work.
Summary malfunctions and codes:
1) ABS Brakes
2) Auto HVAC
3) Instruments
4) CAN Gateway
5) HVAC Rear

I'd heard that with the EPC could be the throttle valve at the rear of the intake manifold, so I swapped that out with another one and adapted it - no improvement. In fact I also got a few more codes related to the fuel system including N276 Fuel Pressure Sensor. I'm not a whiz at all this technical stuff, so I have to go slow and take small steps. I'm not sure where to even begin with diagnosing things. Any help is appreciated....thank you.
Sincerely,
Jeff
