bosch abs 5.3 login and coding. 01 quatro modual to 2000 passat

Do you know if this can be done? I can comunicate fine with controller from audi but it rejects all login codes. I cannaot proceed from there. ill have to post modual numbers later but all are same except last three. the replacement for my 2wd passat came from awd audi im pretty poor lol. thanks for any help I have watched your help vid. thanks for it

Unclear. A 2000 Passat definitely didn't have ESP. A 2001 Audi might have. If you're trying to install an a module that had ESP, it definitely won't work. Bottom line: Post an Auto-Scan so we can see what you've got.

It's very unlikely to work. A lot of people have (inadvertently) tried it and failed. I'll bet five virtual internet bucks you have a trouble code for a front right ABS wheel speed sensor too. Don't know why, but it showed up four out of four times I've seen mismatched modules installed.

Gotta get the right one. If in doubt, as Uwe said, post an Auto-Scan. Include your VIN if it's not already in the scan. We can help you identify valid replacement parts. Often there's more than one valid replacement part, which can help with this age of car if you're looking around for salvage or repaired parts.

You are right about right front sensor code! thought it may have been stored from other car. I do have asr and esp and with replacement mod. I got the message center back. "It no longer reads stop brake fault" but still have abs light on cluster! asr and esp are still disabled though lol. guese ill stop here or should i try for craps sake to generate a login code from the soft coding?

It ain't gonna work. Post an Auto-Scan, and include your VIN if it's not there already. We'll help you figure out valid replacements to shop for.

Yes thanks, but it looks like this model-year may be too old to report its VIN in the Auto-Scan automatically. Can you post it? Quoting parts for that era Passat is a little perilous due to the CAN switchover and the B5 to B5.5 refresh around that time, so I prefer not to wing it just based on the model-year.

I agree, that ABS/ESP module is not gonna work in this car.

It's definitely a CAN-bus (internally) car. The -920- (vs. -919-) cluster tells us that. I *think* all the B5.5 cars were Immo-3 and know their VIN. But it would still be good to know the VIN.

Okay so here is the VIN WVWMD23B8YP215692 I have already tried to fix oe mod myself and made it worse when cracking it open. so i dont wanna send it for repair now
