Hello. I bought a Micro-CAN from ross tech's website a few weeks ago and everything worked perfectly until a few days ago. I can not enter the instrument option anymore. When I press it, it takes forever to load, and when it does load this is all that appears (See picture). Does anyone here know why?

Strange. What kind of car?

We've seen that kind of thing occasionally on early D3 A8s. The fix on those is a cold-boot of the instrument cluster.

I have an audi a3 2006 8P.
How do you cold-boot the instrument cluster? I could try that .

How do you cold-boot the instrument cluster?
If you use some Factory WD you could see which fuses supply the Instrument Cluster. Remove all for about 2 minutes, reconnect and try VCDS again. You could also disconnect the battery for about the same length of time, but be prepared to reset the electric windows and/or the radio going 'SAFE'.

Thanks, I am going to try that.
If the electric components does go into safe mode, how do I reset it? :)

Radio should going into SAFE mode not be a problem on a car that new.

Now it is working! I removed the fuse connected to the instrument cluster and reconnected it back again.
Thanks to both of you for your help!
