Were you able to login to the 0x44-16-40168 and then go to 0x44-04-060.........or G85 pull down menu if exists?

All within same session?

Yes but as this car has mk60 abs I think that is the wrong procedure. the steering angle sensor basic settings are done in the abs controller according to rosstech wiki. Mk70 in 0x44 mk60 in 0x03 both options were possible on this golf
I have tried that anyway though.
Please correct me if that's wrong, as I'm pulling what little hair I've got left out with this. Normally a simple procedure I've done many times.

Seriously....... I have found the wiki to be incorrect, "on the G85" for stating that some years are omitted,........when they are not.
