Hey guys, what the heck is this hard line that's leaking oil (?!) out of the back of the radiator on a 2.7t APB engine?

This picture is of the top, rear, passenger side of the radiator, and this line runs down and over to the driver side, and appears to go into the driver side intercooler, but I can find no mention of it in the bloody Bentley. :banghead:

What is this, and particularly, how the heck to I refill it with whatever the heck it needs when I take it out of this hole to figure out just what's broken here. (o-ring? cracked fitting in the radiator maybe?)

Not VCDS related, so moving to General VW/Audi Repair.

*sigh*

I can't find this thing on any parts diagram anywhere. ETKA doesn't have it in either the cooling system or the charge air cooler system diagrams. It's like it doesn't exist.
My powers of deduction are telling me that this is probably some kind of coolant line that's supposed to be filled with water, and when slippery motor oil-like stuff comes pouring out of it, that probably means my turbo seal gave up. I'd still like to track this part down so I can verify my hypothesis about what its purpose is, but i think it's an omen of very expensive news.

Yep, the turbo seal is gone. it's smoking from the exhaust too. It's always something.

Jef, no it's an automatic transmission (VCDS says Part No: 4Z7 927 156 A).
The Audi technicians got back to me (I handed this POS over to them to deal with) and it turns out it's a transmission cooler line, and I must have just traced it wrong or gotten confused about something.

It's still smoking a bit from the driver side exhaust, so I'm not sure what's up with that, but we'll get there.

FYI, in case anyone else runs into this, the part number for this thing is "4Z7 317 821", and can be found on this ETKA diagram. It runs over to a small gear oil cooler on the driver side that I mistook for part of the turbo intercooler on that side (i guess it butts up against the back side of the intercooler? it's not real clear what's going on here.)

OK, looking at the repair manual, the automatic trans kind of made it look like the lines were more towards the left side than right side... but when poking though the SSP, it shows more like what you took a photo of.
