Hi - I bought the HEX-USB+CAN product as I have a 2013 audi S5 and 2002 Audi TT and the VIN app said this product would support both cars. I've successfully used the product with the S5.. but today I tried to use it with the 2002 TT and during the Options -> Test section I got a "CAN: Not Ready". I just got the hardware/software in the last month so it's pretty up to date. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help.

I don't think so. The 2002 Audi TT doesn't use a CAN bus for diagnostics - so that's the expected results. You should be looking for K1:OK and K2:OK for this car.

When attempting an Auto-Scan on this car, please manually select the chassis code '8N' from the drop-down menu.

Have you tried [Select] > [Engine 01] to connect to the ECU manually/directly?

Thank you Zenerdiode! That's exactly what I needed. I figured it was 'do able' as I see other post about TTs of the same era - but I had no idea what to do. By setting the code to 8N the auto scan worked just fine :)

Now..can you point me to the next step. I have attached the log to the bottom of this msg. There are 4 faults, the last 2 have to do with the alarm and I think I can just reset them as she (my wife's car) set of the alarm herself the other day. The first 2 faults are intermittent - but look more serious. Do I just start searching the internet?

Thank you for your help!
Greg
