Hi,

Since few weeks ago I am getting a message about

001089 — EVAP Emission Control Sys

and

001674 — ECM Power Relay Load Circuit: (J271)

Since today I even got a yellow led on my dashboard.
The led is "Control system for exhaust"

I afraid that all of this are related to the LED. if not please advise regarding each....:(

A link back to a post with a scan from the car would be helpful. Like this. ;)

Hi,

Did you have a look at the Ross-Tech wiki pages for the fault codes below? A lot of good information can be found there... :)

P0441-EVAP Emission Control Sys: Incorrect Flow

P068A-ECM Power Relay Load Circuit: De-Energized Performance Too Early

- As far as being related.. . maybe.... The J271-Motronic current supply relay does provide power to the N80-Activated charcoal filter system solenoid valve
and a lot of other components as well. There does not appear to be any other faults that would confirm this, so in this case I believe you may have
two separate concerns.

- You may need to refer to the wiring diagrams and workshop manual for component locations and repair instructions. We have a Ross-Tech wiki link for
sources of factory repair information here.

Hope this helps,

drp

I would say this could be a an N80 valve stuck open or broken line.

That and the voltage/charging system needs to be verified with grounds.
Voltage: 9.144 V

Hi,
I am sorry but this information known even from google
(also from ross-tech by error number)
I need to know how to check what exactly
I checked the Chorale canister and its coming lines and they are looks ok. What to check ?

Regarding the electricity....also I know that there is some problem with the voltage.
From my previous problem (the BCM 09 UNIT) I was forced to disconnect the Main Power cable from the Battery.... I think since then I had a problem
Also, I have problem with the battery after a hour of work on VCDS... it's just empty...I think it too weak

Regarding the Light on the dashboard...what may cause this problem ?

Interesting..............I cant but help feel your pain....release it to me.

How about starting with the repair manual for one?

In VCDS lets do some tests that also maybe searchable in Google.

0x01-04-070 and 071 if supported for LDP
Lets also do some outputs and check the N80 valves ability to seal and release with tool mentioned below.
0x01-03 GO

Do you know what a mighty vacuum pump is and how to use?
If so lets start with that and vacuum caps to isolate zones and hold PSI or pull down of vacuum.

In regards to checking voltage lets do some basic tests in VCDS.
0x01-08-001-004 find the voltage and leave key on for 15 minutes with no other consumers on.
If the voltage drops below 12.5 change the battery if wont maintain after a slow trickle charge over night with test commenced again.

These are just basic starters I hope you can do and understand.
Search YouTube for videos on how to use a DVOM and basic tests to help yourself get a good baseline.

Hi.
Wow! That is very good start!! Thanks !

Please clarify few points:
1) The test numbers... I know it some way point numbers like Menu "1" then menu "2" and etc.... can you please explain in few word where to search this test or how to read you test instruction and this numbers ?
2) What is LDP ??? :-D Sorry didn't find this on GOOGLE :))
3) Yes I know what this "mighty vacuum" doing but not familiar with it's flow and etc to perceive what to test
4) How I can test the "VACUM CAPS" and where are THEY located ? This is my first time that I am trying to fix something like that in the car....(maybe I have a leak of knowledge about this specific system. I will appreciate if you can cooperate with my (I catch on the move)

Regarding the voltage issue
1) I think my battery dead... I will check with DVOM ( I know how to use it :-D ) And revert to you
2) Sorry I didn't understand what you mean by " if wont maintain after a slow trickle charge over night with test commenced again. " You want me to test it on the morning or you want me to try charge it with some tool over the night ? Please explain yourself....

On you comment you didn't write nothing about the warning light.... I should Ignore it ?

THANKS !!!

This is old-school VAG1551/1552 short-hand. It's address - function - channel/group number, so:
0x01 = Address 01-Engine
04 = Function: Basic Settings
070 = Group 070.

LDP = Leak Detection Pump

Based on your requests and needs/questions.

Not to mean.............I don't think you have enough of a basic understanding in order to be able to perform testing for your own safely.

I request you either get training and access to proper tools, and come back at a later date, or see a professional for the services you need.

LDP = Leak detection pump.

You should never ignore MIL lights.

Example to isolate zones with vacuum caps. ( Very Basic )
Remove lines at connection points and install a vacuum plug cap......then go to other side and pull vacuum to verify it will hold.
If not properly sealed to hold vacuum replace repair line with leak......if checks out......move to next line.

In regards to battery voltage.
I am saying that the battery may not be fully charged.
It may fail the first test.............. so before condemning the battery you must charge with trickle to only verify again later with same test...... or by all means go buy a battery just to do it.

I say this when ever I feel it.........
A friend in class as a kid is now blind from a battery acid explosion and one dead from changing tires incorrectly in a split rim cage.

Just concerned for safety that's all..........You're working with fuel vapors and with battery tests.

Here in the USA a person took a torch and looked in gas tank........... blowing up a dealership, because the repair manual stated "take torch and look in tank" instead of light.
All because of a translation from UK to USA English........Now I consider this person exceptionally stupid that did this..... however, the manual did state this.

Please be careful.
I hope you do understand what I mean and do the tests successful getting the repair done or information you need.

Believe it or not many franchises do not allow a welder or cutting torch in a facility.

You kill me man :)
The issue solved.
I replace the Tank and the Battery :)

Regarding the torch, you right. :) Some will do exactly the manual ... with the torch and the gas :)))
And some will stay alive :)

Thanks !
