Sorry if this post is in the wrong place, but it is about "Product Support" and the title of the thread seems to suggest I am in the right place.

Looking at a section of my auto scan;

Readiness: 0 0 X X X (This section I have already been advised it's emissions related) by Jack thanks for that.

The sections in bold I would be interested in more detailed information, what does it mean, where is it leading me in a diagnosis, where do I find that additional information, and why have I got an engine above with ignition on only (not running) producing torque of 156 Nm, is this a display of maximum torque the engine can produce when running?

Added information; Found VCDS User manual in ROSS TECH and downloaded, hopefully will answer many questions I have.

Thanks

This first section is Control Module ID" data. It tells us what ECU you have, what software it has in it, how it's coded, etc..

Torque: 156.0 Nm
This tells you that at the time the fault was set, the engine was producing (or requesting?) 156.0 Nm (Gross, including what it needs to drive accessories). I'm not sure why this is stored in combination with an Immo fault, since it seems somewhat irrelevant to that type of fault.

Bin. Bits: 00000100
Bin. Bits: 00000000
This tells you the bitwise value of two undocumented bytes at the time the fault code was set. I'm pretty confident that the factory tool would show these to you the same way, and be able to give you just as much detail about their meaning, i.e. none. :(

The anatomy of the fault code.

Thinking about them now they look like Hexadecimal notation to me, very long time since I was studying that type of information, but I do remember that 1111 = 15 :)
