I can't find any information on someone who solved this problem with the 24 valve vr6.
Is someone educated on this particular engine I can post "auto scans".
Software version is 0006, which was fun getting from the stealership.
New coils, almost positive there is no vac leaks.
I would love some help!!!

Hi,

. . . I can post "auto scans".
- It is a good idea to post an Auto-scan, that way we are all on the same page ;)

Software version is 0006,. . . . . Software version 0006 <~~~~~~
If you are wondering if there is an ECM update
- That depends, there were Software updates for 2002 - 2004 BDF engines that were for more emission related fault codes,
again an Auto-scan would be good to post to verify and updates.

So what is the exact concern? Is this a no-start when warm, hot? or extended cranking until started?

In any event, one should check the basics:
- Compression, cold and hot
- Fuel Pressure (before the concern and during)
- Check temperature sensor, cold and hot
- Check Mass Air Flow sensor (at idle, no loads)
- Battery/starter(weak?) - engine crank speed
- Powers and grounds to ECM, injectors and ignition coils, (before the concern and during)

Let us know what you find,

drp....

I will try to get an auto-scan up tonight or tomorrow.

My concern is it being something I won't be able to fix from what I see online(hated typing that).

Again the car runs great, if I get it hot let it sit for about a half hour, hook up VCDS to monitor all cylinder misfires start her up and I will get misfires, and can feel the car running and that's if it doesn't stall right out(which will start right back up)

The car has no stored codes, doesn't misfire on a cold start or regular hot start, just when you let it sit hot

Thanks a bunch for the replies and I will try to get an auto-scan up ASAP!
