-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I made a testing cable:
There is something strange, to exclude wiring and wrong pin issues, I have made a test cable only with pin-1 can bus high, pin 2 can bus low, pin 4 power 12 volt directly from battery and pin 14 earth (how do you say That in English mass or earth??) The can bus wires are both connected to the AFS module behind the glove box.
During this test the both light fitting where not connected to each other. Left is drivers side and right is passenger side.

Then I tested the individual lamp fittings.
Test1:
I thought the left fitting was malfunctioning but when I put the cable on the left fitting the readings where : right x-018 and left -------

Then I put the cable on to the right fitting.
Test2:
Right ------- left ---------
No readings at all.

So that’s strange, how can de 55 module say (test1) that the right is x018 when it's not connected? And when it is connected (test 2) it gives no readings at all. I'm confused right know. The computer says the left is not all right, according to my test the right one is not all right.

Thanks, i will check the wiring again.
The codes are clear but i can not change coding due to the faults. First the both lights have to communicate with the AFS controller (behind the glove box).

Can you explain why there are two wires on the right headlight? 6- L14 Right gas discharge (xenon) bulb > Bordnetz T11/2 11-pin connector, black AND T26/8 26-pin connector at AFS control unit

Has somebody an idea which AFS modules (in the lamphousing) are exchangeable?

headlightunits:

driver (left side) 3C0-941-751-G module 7l6941229 x018
Passenger side (right side) 3C0-941-752-G, module 7l6941330 x018

i found several units
7l6941229A r004 for example. Can these been swapped witout problems to the 751G headlights?

Solution found!

Somebody else also wants to retrofit bi xenon in his car. We met and tested his equipment on to my cables and AFS module.
His equipment as well as my wiring seems to work fine.

We found out that someone fitted a right (330) module into the left headlight (329). Therefore it was confusing to me. The car told me the left module was not communicating and right was ok, but with a separate testcable (only one headlight at the time) it told me the right one was found on the left headlight. On the right headlight he did not find any module at all.
I ordered en new left module and will reinstall the current left into the right. I think that all issues will be solved.

All previous isses are solved when the correct module is installed.
Right 330 en left 329.
clear all errors and perform a basic setting.
The controller is communicating withe the headlightsmodules.

Only now i have new faultcodes swivel right and left. I will perform an output test to move the headlights in all directions to see if the error dissapears.
