Hi, Polo 6r 1.4 nat asp. Trying to run an 037 bank 1 sensor 2 ageing test. Met the criteria for engine temp, ignition on, engine running, depress brake and throttle and release. engine revs rise and fall with throttle position, Test off remains, engine revs do not automatically set high. It doesn't matter what i do with the throttle. It doesn't matter whether basic settings are on or off it refuses to start the test. Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong?

On some ECUs the tests have to be performed sequentially. However, for us in the UK, we don’t have to have the Readiness bits cleared for MoT. Have you done a few driving cycles? For the life of me I couldn’t clear the ‘Catalyst Efficiency’ bit on my car in my driveway, gave up because it wasn’t illuminating the MIL; and when I checked a few days later it had cleared.

O2 sensors etc. had to run their cycles first, makes sense as it’s those sensors that determine the efficiency of the cat.

Please also post a full Auto-Scan, MVB from 01-ECU would be helpful too.
