Audi tt mk1 was reading fine cable got Kicked out during readiness test wont read anything now

i was attempting to go through readiness stuff. everything had worked perfect up until now.... i was tired and shifted position... big guy little car and knocked the cable out... now i am getting to many communications errors. Any thoughts as to what might be the issue?
car does start and run.

It sounds like you bent and or misaligned some pins and may have even folded them over when you attempted to plug back in the cable.
Get a mirror and light and inspect the DLC connector on the vehicle.

i wanted to follow up because i hate when people dont post solutions. as far as i can tell nothing was bent on either side. i disconnected the battery. let it sit overnight. everything was fine in the am. i am wondering if the ecu was stock in testing loop. i am not sure its not a complete solution as i cant repeat it but its something to try i guess

also i wanted to thankyou for replying, and giving me a place to start
