Hello, I am sorry for the long post, but I feel like I've already exhausted all options regarding this Haldex failure.
The car is a 2021 VW T6.1 with an automatic transmission and a 2.0 diesel engine. The issue started when the car began juddering when pulling away with the wheels turned. I decided to change the fluid and clean the strainer on the Haldex pump. I did that, but the issue didn't go away. Then I took the car to a shop that removed the rear differential assembly, cleaned the Haldex unit, and cleaned the clutch packs inside it. After reassembly, the issue was still present—the juddering remained.
I took it a step further and bought a brand-new, genuine Generation 5 Haldex pump. I installed it, topped up the fluid, and performed the pump adaptation/learn procedure, which completed successfully. During this process, I monitored the live values in VCDS and noticed that the new pump was drawing a maximum of 5A during calibration, compared to the 11A the old pump was pulling. I went for a test drive, and after a maximum of 8 minutes, I noticed the rear wheels were no longer driving, and all pump values in VCDS dropped to 0. I scanned for fault codes and found one—something I hadn't experienced before, even with the old pump. The code was: 16668 - Pump for Haldex Clutch, C1112 07 [00001000] - Mechanical Failure - Intermittent - Confirmed. I managed to clear the code, everything started working normally again, but after another 6 minutes, the exact same error reappeared with the same symptoms.
The next step was replacing the Haldex control module with a used one. I swapped it, coded it, ran the pump adaptation, and cleared the errors that popped up on VCDS. The car worked fine for 8 minutes, after which the same error returned: 16668 - Pump for Haldex Clutch, C1112 07 [00001000] - Mechanical Failure - Intermittent - Confirmed. Just like before, it could be cleared via VCDS, everything would work fine for a bit, and then it would reappear.
