Rear door module decode help please :)

Good evening all

Would anyone know if its possible to delete the rear door modules in a later 2018 Audi Rs3 8v.2 ?

I've removed the modules in the gateway 19 from the installation list, in the front door modules if I tried to long code them out ( no option to code it as a 3 door instead of a 5 ) also I removed the lin line hoping this would drop the communication to the rear modules, but it can still see them.

Any tips / advice please

I expect there might be a coding bit(s) somewhere (maybe BCM or CGW) for 3 door or 5 door. Then again, maybe they run different HW variants for BCM to save a few bucks on the 3 door. Until then there is always black insulation tape to cover the annoying warning lamp

I've looked across the basics and I've not stumbled across anything as easy as that unfortunately. I'm sure on earlier car you could specify 3 / 5 doors.

I'll see if I can find the link. But somewhere (I know that doesn't help, haha) on Drive2 I remember a post about this (though not on your specific car). There was some module master/slave learning procedure in ODIS that got rid of phantom rear door control modules.

It might be done with a new Datset from a car with 3 doors. not sure which module have to be updated though (gateway or door modules)
Since 2016 when the facelifts for cars came out a lot of stuff are data set related.
Newer cars are almost entirely data set related.

I have a question since you have on both BB and BC same failures, only on BC you have an extra failure. Child lock.
So the question is, can you acces the modules? BB and BC? If yes try to change a coding there for example this with child lock and if you can change them that means you have the module.... and that is weird.

I found something in my adaptations on:
Address 05: Acc/Start Auth. (J518)

The main line is PAR_Bedienstellen


This is the only adaptation I could find related to rear doors. Sorry the print screen is from another tool. Also this apply if you have Keyless otherwise you will not have the module 05 ( I think).
And related to the post above, you have 4 doors.

But since you have 4 doors this mean you have an issue in the car and you should fix it. I do not think that coding will help you get rid of the error.
