Trying to fix some front end damage on this golf tsi (Canadian version w/bi xenon leveling etc). These lights are completely out of the price range to realistically repair (3k cdn$) AND backordered. I can drop in either basic halogen assemblies or some aftermarket LEDs but they are obviously designed for halogen fitted cars with 10 pin connectors. Can wiring alone make these work? Is there a 12v signal for the high beam shutter that can be hooked to a relay to make both hi/low work. Errors don't bother me but the research I'm doing shows some people were seeing the BCM shut off the high-beams after a second when original lamps aren't fitted.
