I need some help with the Headlight Range Control module on my 2012 Audi Q5 8R.

The module communicates normally, but I cannot get it to accept coding.
I tried coding it with VCDS after entering Security Access, but VCDS rejects the coding with a request sequence / sequence error.
I also tried with VCTool. VCTool initially allowed access to the module, but when trying to write the coding it displayed:
Unable to write coding: Shifter not in park position
The transmission is automatic and the selector is physically in P. The transmission control module has no fault codes and communicates normally.
