Activating App Connect in 2022 VW Caddy Life (MQB)

Hi all. I am new to this forum and this subject. And i apologise if such a question has been asked before (it probably has) . . .

I am living in Germany and have purchased a 2022 VW Caddy Life SB. I am looking to run Android Auto and Google Maps.

I spoke with 2 separate sales guys , first said possible, second said not possible.

In short i do not see App Connect as an option in the menu. But i am being informed that it needs to be "activated"

I decided to go via this forum to get a no nonsence answer . .

Here is what i know after some digging (any many hours of internet searching).

• 2022 VW Caddy Life (MQB)
• Head unit: 5H0 035 869 A
• Software 1766
• No App-Connect menu in the system.
• PR code 9WC. (obtained from the dealer)
• Dealer says App-Connect is not installed.
• Is this head unit technically capable of App-Connect (maybe via FEC/SWaP?")

I think the forum could verify some information for you..... but we need a complete VCDS Auto-Scan ; produced from a legitimate version of English VCDS software and interface.

Vcds will not activate fec and swaps for you. Go to the sales guy which said yes, propose him no cure no pay.
