I have a problem on my Touareg 2004 V8... the fans stay ON all the time, A/C not working once the fans problem appeard, Evap problems, etc... My first scann had 32 Faults, I clear all DTC and after that only 11 faults came back, the 32 faults appear if I scann it 24 hours later, can you give me some advice where to start?.... Also a Convertible Top Module is on my DTC.

the convertible top module is probaly a wrong coding.

The scans are weird, there is no installations list on top of the scan, did you edit the scans before posting?

I often code out the air quality sensor, as its an expensive sensor and often broken.

The G65 sensor is certainly a fault code i would look at, it will stop the working of the ac. Replace it ONLY with a good brand sensor, OEM or Hella or so!

Vdub thank you for your response... Yes I edit the scann, I removed the ones that had no faults because it was to long... sorry about that.

Ok I will start with the G65 sensor and see if the AC comes back, could that be the reason for the fans allways on?...

OK Vdub sorry about the edit and thank you for the advice... So Yesterday I went to VW and bought the G65 sensor and the N80 valve and install them... the DTC´s are the same...

Did you do a erase all faultcodes? or at least erase them in 01 Engine and the 08 HVAC after you installed those 2 sensors?

Hello Vdub, so after I installed the parts and clear all DTC´s the errors where still present, so I searched every wire in the engine related to those two sensors and found that the Oil Level Sensor was burnt so I change It and also the connector because it was melted in to the sensor...

After that the codes of Evap went away and no more DTC for engine are showing... I dont have my laptop right now but VCDS scann shows only 5 DTC´s... and my fan assembly works normal again!!!!....

I will update tomorrow....

Hello TTT, no I do not have them, I went online and searched the sensors related to engine oil and EVAP... that is how I found the Oil Level Sensor... the one that I didnt find was the Oil Pressure Switch...


Thank you both for your help and I will up load the scann tomorrow.

I would bet good money that faults in engine are related to a common fuse,vcc or ground.

After that the codes of Evap went away and no more DTC for engine are showing... I dont have my laptop right now but VCDS scann shows only 5 DTC´s... and my fan assembly works normal again!!!!....

Hello TTT, no I do not have them, I went online and searched the sensors related to engine oil and EVAP... that is how I found the Oil Level Sensor... the one that I didnt find was the Oil Pressure Switch...

Forgot to tell you that when this short appeared the message of low oil pressure showed up in my dashboard... know it does not appear but still the pressure gauge will not work.

The thing is that I can not find the oil pressure switch to check the wires or change the sensor...

Any idea of where is located and how to get to it to replace it?...
