Subject: [Golf 7 1.4 TSI] B1154 96 (GRA/CCS) and databus errors after a bad remote coding

I am reaching out for some expert advice regarding a coding mess on my 2014 Golf 7 (1.4 TSI, CXSA engine, 247k km). The car came with a factory Multi-Function Steering Wheel (MFSW). I recently attempted a Cruise Control System (GRA/CCS) retrofit. I replaced the steering wheel buttons with the GRA version and routed the required wire (from Pin 56 on Engine ECU 01 to Pin 5 on Steering Column module 16).
For the software activation, I made the mistake of letting a third party attempt a remote coding session. This person messed with several codings blindly, without leaving a log or backup of the original state. After multiple conflicts appeared, I stopped the process. Since I do not have a SWAP code for official activation, I tried to revert all modules back to their factory coding using my genuine VCDS 23.1, based on what I believe the original values were.
The Problem:Ever since this disastrous intervention, and despite my best efforts to revert to stock, I have multiple persistent fault codes. The physical GRA buttons and the retrofitted wire are still installed.

- Is the Gateway physically detecting the GRA buttons over the LIN bus, causing a cascade of databus errors (U112100 and U112300) because it conflicts with my "best guess" stock coding?
- What is the definitive procedure to clear this B1154 96 fault code considering the hardware is still physically present?
