Bentley GT 2015 Suspension Height Calibration

I tried to set up my suspension height today but it did not go well I am using a Hex Net, but also tried it with a cable on a USB in case my Carplay wifi was interfering but that didn't work either. I followed the procedure - entered the security authorisation code and then set about measuring the suspension height, and all went well until I got to the 3rd wheel, when it asked for security code again and lost all the readings I had entered - it then left the car with a suspension system fault (no basic settings, even though the original settings were still in there) which was the devil's own job to sort out. In the end I had to start the process again, but enter all the existing height values and set them before the system was ready for any measurements and before the security code timed out. Any suggestions as to where I am going wrong or how to get this sorted?

My cheatsheet says prerequisites include doors, hood and trunk closed, engine idling, parking brake set. Did you maybe open a door or something? (I'm not sure if that will cause it to drop out or not; I'm just spitballing here....)

Thanks Jeff - All of the above were met, but it just kept on dropping out. The only other thing I can think of is - does it need to be locked? I saw someone lowering an Audi (A6 I think) on youtube and he locked the doors.

Petrol Dave, I ran a full scan today - and very suspiciously for a Bentley it had no fault codes. The only anomaly I found was that it didn't read Address 46 Central Conv. I opened the channel individually afterwards and that also showed no faults, but no idea why it wouldn't open during the full scan.

Mine (a gen 2 Flying Spur) is the same with Central Convenience. At one point I think @Sebastian was looking in to it, but I kind of lost track of it.

As to the doors being locked -- it's hard to imagine that being necessary, but who knows. I think some of these VAG engineers used to work in the video game industry....

Absolutely nothing. It is a very straight car to be fair and I don't tend to leave faults outstanding, but I was surprised nothing at all came up - usually there's a heater flap motor fault or something, but nothing at all. Perhaps I should buy a lottery ticket

I was hopeful to lower the car by about 20mm by telling the suspension it was higher than it actually is, but I think my best option now is to buy some adjustable lowering links for the height sensors.

Try adjusting it 5mm at a time. Yes, that's relatively tedious, but it may work where a big single step won't, and you may find a limit not far from your desired place.
