Please help! 2011 jetta no brakes

hi im completely new to any forum. ai directed me here for help.im 54 and not proficient on the internet so please bare with me. i have a 2011 jetta that the abs controller went bad on. i replaced it with an identicle one from another jetta without knowing it would need to be coded so neither of them have a code. i have a scanner that can install a new code but need to get a code. its a 2.0 gas engine with 5 speed manual.front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. its a plane jane car with only traction control. the abs controller is 1k0 614 517 dg .if anyone can help me with this in getting a code i would eally appreciate it. almost forgot my vin number is 3vw1k7ajxbm371940. i believe MK60EC1 is the abs model. thanks

There is a law here making it compulsory to provide a full autoscan with a legitemate vcds version.

If you purchase a VCDS or find a friend who can assist you with a VCDS (as noted above, a legitimate version of VCDS) the forum may be able to help you out.

Once you have access to a legitimate version of VCDS, post a complete Auto-Scan of your vehicle in its currant state.

i dont have a vcds. i have a thinkcar 689. it does autoscan but i would have no idea how to post it

I don't think you've offended anyone. Just that the forum here is for technical support of VCDS customers, and users of other tools are often given some perhaps brusque advice about where to get support for their competitors tool.

Conversely, genuine customers are very well looked after. Hoping to see you as a customer sometime soon.
