N276 fuel pressure regulator valve problem

Hello, Im having a terriable time with a MIL on my 2007 audi a4 with a 3.2 engine.
The MIL is P2294. Sounds simple right? So I use chatgpt AI for assistance and it tells me that the fuel pressure regulator vaalve commonly fails because of broken wires near the plug. OK makes sense. Then I submitted the VCDS log and chatgpt sees a fault in the immoblizer caused by the headlight module. It says that a failing headlight module can send bad info via the canbus and cause the imoblizer to detect that and put the car into limp mode, which it does. Chatgpt said to disconnect the headlight module and delete the codes and test drive the car. I did and it ran AWSOME. I recorded that log file and chatgpt said it also needs high pressure info. The problem is the terminology that chatgpt uses vs vcds for the info blocks as well as vcds only allowing 12 fields of info per session file. So I thought I had the correct info numbers for the advanced measuring blocks and I went for another run to log it again. This time the car is shutting off intermittently for a half second and then the check engine light comes back on. On the last run the car was up to temp. Perhaps the n276 is failing when hot? on this car the n276 is NOT located on the high pressure fuel pump which is located at the FRONT DRIVERS side , USA model. AS I google search for a part number for the n276 fuel pressure regulator valve I cant seem to find one that has 2 wires . They all come back without electrical connections. The n276 is NOT mounted to the fuel pump, aka no wires from the hpfp.

On the BKH 3.2 FSI, the high-pressure pump itself is a purely mechanical pump driven by the intake camshaft. If your pump has no electrical connector, that's consistent with the design.

Backprobe J623 plug T60 pin 45 wire bl/ge with an incandescent test lamp, ignition on, should lit against battery minus. If not, work your way backwards to N290 plug and check if any of the wires have plus with test lamp, if not, check fuse S282 15A in engine bay fuse box. Fuse box view might be good, might not.

Hello, Im having a terriable time with a MIL on my 2007 audi a4 with a 3.2 engine.
The MIL is P2294. Sounds simple right? So I use chatgpt AI for assistance and it tells me that the fuel pressure regulator vaalve commonly fails because of broken wires near the plug. OK makes sense. Then I submitted the VCDS log and chatgpt sees a fault in the immoblizer caused by the headlight module. It says that a failing headlight module can send bad info via the canbus and cause the imoblizer to detect that and put the car into limp mode, which it does. Chatgpt said to disconnect the headlight module and delete the codes and test drive the car. I did and it ran AWSOME. I recorded that log file and chatgpt said it also needs high pressure info. The problem is the terminology that chatgpt uses vs vcds for the info blocks as well as vcds only allowing 12 fields of info per session file. So I thought I had the correct info numbers for the advanced measuring blocks and I went for another run to log it again. This time the car is shutting off intermittently for a half second and then the check engine light comes back on. On the last run the car was up to temp. Perhaps the n276 is failing when hot? on this car the n276 is NOT located on the high pressure fuel pump which is located at the FRONT DRIVERS side , USA model. AS I google search for a part number for the n276 fuel pressure regulator valve I cant seem to find one that has 2 wires . They all come back without electrical connections. The n276 is NOT mounted to the fuel pump, aka no wires from the hpfp.
Let me be blunt... are people fucking high listening to garbagegpt to fix vehicles. A headlight module will not cause any issues with immobilizer its a load of bullshit. Secondly you're either asking for help from professionals here to narrow down the issue or you can talk round and round in circules with garbagegpt that is pulling nonsense from all corners of the internet whether it be true or fiction, rolling into a fat blunt and smoking yourself retarded with that hot garbage. Sorry thats the reality. The problem is simple. It's an open circuit for the valve. check the resistance of the valve cold and then when heat soaked, verify if its in spec or if you even get a reading when hot. If you have no reading when hot then you know the valve has failed. If you have a reading and its in spec then its time to check the wiring for the valve from the valve to the ecm short and sweet not some garbagegpt misinformation. That is all.

Also to clarify that nonsense garbage gpt fed you, I should have checked before hand but there is no N276 in this vehicle, and the code you got is for Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 Control Circuit. You need to be looking at the High side fuel pressure sensor under the intake manifold G247, or it would be wise to check fuel filter and pump pump delivery rate prior to this also. Number 2 is G247. Start checking wiring to that sensor.

You may notice a slight bias against AI diagnostics.... it is becoming something of a running joke here. I'm pretty sure AI would tell you to stuff a fork in an electrical output to test for power.... So lets do this.... you've got some issues, here is a scan... what next?

So in the wiring diagram, this will be the N290, not N276. N290 has two wires.

/1 = red/blue from fuse S282, but there is T14a/4 between N290 and the fuse
/2 = blue/yellow to ECM T60/44, but there is T14a/11 between N290 and ECM

Do you have power to /1? Light up a test light? I"m guessing the N282 fuse is good because it also powers up a few other items and there are no codes. The T14a connector, (engine compartment, left), have you done visual inspection on it? Have you ohm tested the N290? If so, what did you get?

ChatGPT has its place and it has surprised me on multiple occasions with this kind of thing when I either wanted it to help me on a motor I never seen before or if it approached a problem on a motor I did know about in a half sensible way. Sometimes it's on the right track, sometimes it can take you down the wrong rabbit hole entirely. I have had it save some time when coding a few bench Arduino projects as well but you have to know it's limits and it won't substitute the knowledge and approach of an experienced technicians way of going about things.

AI is great for sifting through large datasets, but it completely lacks intuition or experience, and it's trained on "the internet", meaning it has more bad information than accurate information, particularly in the automotive world where people do really stupid things all the time and grace us with half-witted write-ups about them.

Putting your VCDS autoscan into an AI was probably fine, but the moment it started going on about the immobilizer and the headlight module, you should have known it wasn't going to work out. You asked it about a fuel pressure issue and it went "Nope, we're doing this now" on you.

@Ziddywerks gave you the correct advice, albeit with a very sharp tone. Please disregard the harshness with which he delivered it and follow his genuine advice.
