2005.5 Jetta 2.5l Went to verify aux radiator fan not working with output test. Ended test, went through all output tests. Turned vehicle off went to bed came back the next morning and now all the car will do is crank but not start. Checked all fuses, relays, tested fuel pump and everything has power and works. I’m under the impression the ecm won’t send signal to fuel pump or switch relay for fuel pump. Did I do something wrong after the update?

Have you confirmed that the fuel pump is not running? If so, pull the relay and insert a jumper to see if that makes the pump run.

Nothing that comes to my mind.

Fuel pump runs with jumper, car runs with jumper in place, fuel pump primes when drivers door opens. Car started and ran when I jumped ecm fuse to positive battery. Thought 11.75v was enough to power everything since car is turning over but the internet says otherwise so I bought a new battery still cranks but no start. I’ll run a scan later today and see if I can figure out how to post it on here, not sure it’ll help because I’m guessing it will be throwing a code for every system.

Remove the battery minus terminal for some odd 10 minutes, so the control units capacitors have time to discharge. And clear their minds. Might fix it.
