Hey everyone first thanks for taken the time to read and try to help me out it has been a long time for me on the forums. I'll supply anything you need. Attached is a full scan to start.

Goal: Retrofit Intelligent Park Assist (IPA/Park Assist Plus) OEM Button 4N0959673J installed and i think re organized.

what's done: I coded across modules 09,03,44,46,A5,CB

CB (Rear Axle Steering) PLA/IPA active confirmed (Byte 2 Bit 7 set, current coding 4225C200)

I could write a lot more but just looking for help please.

Ok, I got it all to work finally and I’ll post my coding later today and steps I took. What I noticed is I have rear steering module CB and had to activate PLA/IPA. The part that’s weird is do the rear axle need to be calibrated IDE10678 center calibration? I ask because when I try it in a parking lot it won’t scan or pick up a spot, however it find spot when I’m on my road and my driveway it works but I have a fence and wall on each side. Or does the cameras need calibration? I find it odd that it won’t pick spots up in a parking lot. I did read to let the car rest and let all modules go to sleep for 90 minutes. I let it rest all night while sleeping so hoping when I try it today it works but wanted to help thanks.

I don't see anything weird in your scan. I do see a fault in module 46 that makes me suspect that you configured something in that module for remote parking assist, which you shouldn't. Those would be coding bits that reference keyless piloted parking, those should be left the way they were and not changed.

I would start by rechecking the coding and adaptation changes in module A5.

Thanks for the guidance. I went through all of AS's long coding byte by byte and couldn't find anything related to keyless or piloted parking there.


I did find two keyless piloted parking bits in 46


Byte 32 - Bit 0


(keyless_activation_piloted_parking) and Bit 4 (keyless_piloted_parking_tgs_activation) - and unchecked both.


However, the U112100 antenna fault on 46 still persists after clearing. The fault is specifically SM_Parken_02 - digital roof antenna missing message. Since unchecking the keyless bits didn't resolve it, the antenna code appears to be a separate issue.


The retrofit itself works - car parks in reverse, rear axle steers, maneuvers complete. But this one comms code is stubborn. Any other bits you'd recommend checking in 46, or is this tied to a deeper SVM parameterization?

The fault in module 46 is there because it is still (partially) configured for remote IPA.

I see Byte 13 bit 3 is activated (comfort operation piloted parking). That too is related to remote piloted parking, and should be disabled.

I would highly recommend to re-read whatever list you used to retrofit IPA, because with this many mistakes I would assume that your source is just wrong and unreliable and there could be any number of issues with the configuration at this point.

That did it - thank you. Disabling 46 Byte 13 Bit 3 (comfort operation piloted parking) cleared the SM_Parken_02 antenna fault. Right after coding I got a few transient "park function limited / camera view restrictedi codes, but they were one-time logs from the modules re-initializing - cleared them, drove, re-scanned, and everything came back clean.

So I'm now code-free with a fully working retrofit

- car parks itself, rear axle steers, maneuvers complete.

I also took your warning to heart about the source list being unreliable. You were right - there were several remote/piloted-parking bits set that didn't belong on my car (the keyless ones in Byte 32 plus this comfort one). Rather than keep finding these one at a time, do you have or can you point me to a verified coding list for a US-spec 2021 A8L (D5) with factory rear-axle steering, in-car IPA only (no remote/piloted parking)? Id like to audit every module once against a known-good reference to make sure nothing else is quietly miscoded.
