Hi guys,

I need to replace TCM on this one , car is 50 km from me so I would like to avoid any unnecessary driving if possible :)

1. Can I use second hand module on this car?

2. Is transfer of coding and performing basic setting and adaptation enough to get it working?

3. Does TCM hold CP data or not?

I am not familiar with these kind of replacement on AUDI and I would like to avoid towing to dealer if I activate CP during replacement.

Thank's to all members who share any confirmed information on this procedure.

I don't think there's any CP in a 2006 A4.

Then again, I'm not aware of any 7-speed automatic in such a car either. Maybe it's an 01J CVT that pretends to be a 7-speed?

Well I do not have answer for that yet. Because guys who hold the car are painters and their perception of automatic transmission can be different then ours :D I will ask for VIN and then get back. Thank you
