Will subscriptions be available to purchase soon? As I currently have 23 days remaining. I have used the beta frequently over the past couple of months but not had the time to open various threads on here with scans etc and also a lot of the time when working on vehicles forget to screen shot the various pictures needed, all logs etc have been stored on my device.

Once RT acquires enough feedback (hint, hint) the subscriptions will be offered.

Part of the agreement with Beta testing (free) subscriptions was to post the logs ; those details are shown on this link page.

The free Beta has proven to us and VWAG that the software controls required are in place. We are in process on the final steps of approval by VWAG and others. When all the documents are signed, we will be able to offer the subscription for purchase. Our hope is this will occur by Oct but again, we are not in control on this. Others have said control.

Yes, we expect to be able to offer annual subscriptions soon. But do not worry about days remaining. If we are not yet ready to offer annual subscriptions when you have less than 7 days left, and you are an active SFD user, we will automatically extend your Beta SFD Service.

successfully reset service and inspection light on a 2024 audi q2 this morning. took two attempts to log in the password phase and had to refresh after but getting use to it.

I am not surprised. Your car is full of SFD2, which blocks most anything that VAG considers to be a "configuration change".

Yes, I'm aware that some companies are claiming they will introduce it shortly. However, I believe they are setting customer expectations too high.

We have the technical specifications, but use of SFD2 is restricted to cars that are type-approved and operated exclusively in the European Economic Area and Switzerland. So right now, we can't even test it here in North America.

With SFD2, every change to any data must be approved by VAG's servers. The tool has to send the VIN, the module address, the identifier, the existing data at that identifier, and the proposed change to that data to VAG's servers. Only pre-authorized changes will be approved with the signature from the server that is required for the new data to be written to the module. So even with SFD2 capability, the types of changes that are possible will be extremely limited.

Can multiple years be purchased? When mine expires, it would be nice if I can purchase for 2-3. What would happen if the device fails during subscription active time?

While subscriptions cannot be stacked (for several reasons), you'll be able to purchase an extension (1 yr/12 months) within a reasonable time frame before the old/existing one expires. If an interface fails within an active subscription period, it will be transferred to a replacement system/interface. While this is going public and being finalized, expect the FAQ etc. to be updated to include some of the topics which came up here and elsewhere in the conversation.

When mine expires, it would be nice if I can purchase for 2-3.

The plan is that you will be able to purchase additional year once your existing service is within one month of expiring, meaning the maximum time anyone can have at any point is 395 days.

What would happen if the device fails during subscription active time?

We will transfer whatever time you have left on your subscription to a replacement interface.
