Login before unlocking takes 10-20 seconds. I am not sure if it can be improved, if not this is it, 10-20 second extra is not a problem.

I have been using the beta for the past couple of weeks and no issues to report other than entering my password wrong on a couple of occasions as I have too many to remember.
I'm really pleased a native unlock has finally been added as its easier and faster to use than logging into ODIS. Would be great if the "session" could be extended from 30 minutes to 60 / 1 hour.

Might I recommend a password manager? I use 1Password, but if you want a free option I'd probably suggest Bitwarden.

I’m of no authority to state the exact reason why - but it makes logical sense that a finite time span for data input requests presents finite opportunities for digital safety risks, exploitation, expensive mistakes and “poke around until something happens” level workmanship.

In my case, I’m currently awaiting my VCDS SFD service account activation confirmation to come through. I have a small but critical laundry list of values to address and have the guides hot and ready to go which 30 minutes really should be ample.

SFD is often referred to as a firewall, and I’m certain I would not want my home network firewall disabled for more than a few minutes since it is against best practice and carries unnecessary risk.

It's intentionally a bit on the short side for Beta testing purposes. I actually agree that it could be lengthened and might well be when we go to full Release. That said, 30 minutes is enough time to go and manually unlock every module that has SFD in a in a high-spec 2026 car -- I've done personally done this with time to spare. And for normal service operations, it should not be necessary to unlock more than two or three modules.

I get what you're saying but I would argue just having an open SFD session isn't really like disabling a firewall, I think it's more akin to logging in to an admin account. Basically, you have the key to disable the firewall but haven't necessarily done so.

I just opened my computer and connected the cable to my car; VCDS was still open. I checked the "About" panel and now it shows three codings changed and seven adaptations saved. I tested the interface then checked "About" again and neither value changed. I quit VCDS, reopened it, and the values were the same.

Hi everyone,


I'm seeking some advice regarding a 2025 Skoda Scala. I performed an oil service on this vehicle, but I've hit a wall when it comes to resetting the service interval.


Even after successfully unlocking SFD for the Dashboard (module 17), the service reset procedure fails. Furthermore, I am unable to manually change any adaptation values in the dashboard. It seems that the controller is rejecting any modifications despite the SFD being unlocked.


I have tried the procedure with the hood open, but it made no difference. I have attached the full Auto-Scan and the SFD log from the session.


Has anyone encountered similar behavior with these newer models? Is there a specific procedure for this, or is this a hard limitation requiring online access via ODIS/GeKo?


Any guidance or insight would be greatly appreciated.
