Uwe I take it once all the Beta testing for SFD is completed you'll just roll out an update for vcds like normal updates that will incorporate SFD unlock ?
So if I dont download the Beta one at minute it will eventually be in an update ?

Yes. We do expect that the next full Release version of VCDS will include the on-line SFD functionality that's in the current Beta.

If you were to start a new thread in this section containing an Auto-Scan and your SFD log (from the Debug folder), you'd probably get a free 30-day extension of your SFD Service (which currenly has 69 days remaining).

Great! Please make a new thread in this subforum with a current autoscan, your Debug\ADPLog.csv, Debug\CodingLog.csv and Debug\SFDLog.csv .
RE: the serial number, assuming you did Options->Test/Save, is it possible you had not updated the codeblock in your interface to VCDS' satisfaction (v4713)? That's something I've had to add because we had so many users trying to create SFD accounts with an old codeblock that did not support it.

Hello wondering if anyone has run into this.

Unlocked SFD successfully and then had to disable diagnostic filter, was able to do that successfully. When I got to re enable it it says complete but still has fault code for filter being disabled. I am using the button on the gateway adaptations under the search box to do this.

IIRC, in some Gateways you have to use a different channel to re-enable the filter. Personally, I don't bother. The filter will be re-enabled automatically once the car is driven ~20 km / ~12 miles.

Perfect, that is what I had hoped. Are you also re-locking SFD or just leaving it? Noticed that the fault will be stored if its not locked, noticed on a few I've gone to unlock. Must have been from prior service

If it's your personal car, I see no reason to re-lock anything. SFD will automatically re-lock after 90 min (generally ignition on time).

If it's a customer car, it would probably be best to re-lock any modules you've unlocked and then clear the respective fault codes, which are really just advisories.

Presuming that you are using a Hex-Net, I doubt it. Most likely RT will need to manually set up your SFD account.

You purchase predates the addition of the paid SFD support. Once we begin offering the paid SFD, your interface will be eligible.

The free Beta period has ended and your purchase did not include paid SFD. So, the order page rejected your request during this early stage.

Soon we will be opening the paid SFD.... Not going to make an estimate because we are still finalizing all the requirements to make VAG happy! We are also finalizing our order processing to handle all of the registration requirements in a more efficient manner.

It does "work" now (and very well), its just not for sale.....yet. But, I have observed on the forum that if you are willing to post the information captured in the files/logs and Auto-Scan that Uwe mentioned, you can utilize the SFD now.

If I understand your above post correctly, here is a link to the store. Then, hover over "shop" on the upper left area of the page. Note how it is in RED....., so SFD is not available for payment (yet). So, when you can purchase and the "Ross-Tech store" link is not in Red, it is then publicly available and you can purchase.

We are not at the point where we feel comfortable selling subscriptions yet. But we are giving out short-term subscriptions for free to people who are willing to test it and provide feedback.
