A long time ago I've bought a "Lane Guard camera" for my Passat 3C with part number 3C0 907 217 B.

There is another partnumber on the camera - 4E0 907 217 C (hardware number??)

Searching on google it turns out that the camera for Audi A4 2013 is the same (almost). However the partnumer is 8T0 907 217 A (instead of 3C0..., but also with 4E0...)

In Audi the camera is connected to the Extended Can while in VW is connected to Powertrain Can.

Does anyone know I need to flash the software or can I just connect it directly ?

The 3C0 and 8T0 numbers are the software numbers. The 4E0 is the hardware part number. If you are installing the unit in a Passat, you don't need to flash anything. If it is going into an A4, then yes the module needs to either be changed or flashed. It is possible to have it flashed as it shares the same exact hardware, but VCDS is not able to do that, let alone is the flash file even avail to the public. Once you get the correct camera module, it should be connected to the corresponding CAN network listed in the factory wiring diagram.

This isn't the VCP/ODIS/ODIS ENGINEERING FORUM tho. I'm pretty sure distributing files like those on here is verboten.

I've edited my post so I'm looking on Google instead of hoping that someone might wanted to give the files ;)

It seems that 8K0 907 217 A also is a valid part number.

Thanks.

The 8K0 part is from the lane departure era. If you have a MY13 then you need the 8T0 part number to support heading control.
