ABS Unit Coding - Bentley Continental GT 2005

Hello all,

This is my first post here, I purchased VCDS a little over a year ago from a European distributor (I am from Malta) as it was recommended to me by another Bentley owner in the hopes of troubleshooting a recurring fault which we have now pinpointed to a dead ABS unit (t was taking down the whole network).

We could not communicate with the vehicle at all even using VCDS until we disconnected the ABS unit, we were then able to communicate with the vehicle accordingly. Subsequently, we purchased a second hand ABS unit and can confirm that with this ABS unit connected, VCDS recognizes the vehicle successfully. Now my query is how to get the unit coded, I do not have the original coding due to the module being dead, we even sent it out for repair but basically received the unit back the same as it was, unresponsive. The module part number is 3W0614517D. Also, as a note, the part number matches the one originally in the vehicle if that helps.

That's not unheard of. ABS modules of that vintage (I'm thinking this is likely a Bosch 5.3..?) have a failure mode where they clamp the K-line to ground, which prevents communications to all modules in the car.

Noted, just completed a second scan with the faults cleared, the seat faults are due to the seat being removed as we initially thought there may be water ingress under the carpet. I just registered the HEX-V2 via the app and it should be waiting for approval so I can finalize on the app. I appreciate your guidance. EDIT: Just went to re-scan and grab the code directly, hope this is better.

Your first scan was posted correctly. But for this one, you used the [Print] function in VCDS. Please don't do that; it's much less readable here than the original text that VCDS produces.

I'm no sure which set of these is applicable to this car.

And don't forget to calibrate the steering angle sensor or you will lose the coding.

Thank you for the quick response. It is a 2005 Bentley Continental GT Coupe so I guess the 02121 and 0007878 will apply? I'll take a good look at the video and get back to you on my results.
