A FAMILY MEMBER HAS HAD A RECENT HEAD REBUILD AND THE VAN SAT FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS GIVE OR TAKE AND IN DOING SO IT HAS BROUGHT UP SOME FAULTS THAT REALLY NEED DOING ASAP SO HERE I AM FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS BEFORE SPENDING POINTLESS TIME AND MONEY ON THE WRONG SOLUTIONS

THE VAN HAS STARTED UP EASY ENOUGH FROM THE OFF WITH A NEW BATTERY. I'VE LOOKED OVER THE GROUNDS WHERE I CAN SEE AND SEEM FINE AND CHECKED FUSES WHICH COME BACK GOOD MAINLY FOR ABS FAULT. THE OBVIOUS SAYS TO ME REPLACE GLOW PLUGS AS THEY MAY BE ORIGINAL FROM NEW SO 16 YEAR OLD SO WILL BE BOUGHT REGARLESS, NEW OEM CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND ABS CONTROL MODULE(THIS IS WHAT I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO REPLACE AS ITS NOT JUST PLUG AND PLAY) BUT I'M HAPPY TO CHECK WIRING HARNESSES ETC IF I KNOW WHERE TO LOOK/TEST TO CONFIRM IF IT HAS TO HAVE A NEW ONE. ALSO A STRANGE ISSUE WITH COOLANT LIGHT COMES ON RANDOMLY EVEN THOUGH ITS FILLED CORRECTLY WITH NO FAULT LOGGED AND THE TURBO HAS AN OVERBOOST SO COULD BE THAT A LINE IS LEAKING AS ITS HAD A BRAND NEW TURBO ON RECENTLY. THE N75 VALVE I'LL BE LOOKING OVER TO SEE IF THAT'S WORKING CORRECTLY.

AGAIN THIS ISN'T MY VAN AS I'M HERE TO TRY HELP A BROTHER OUT SO THERE WILL BE BITS I'VE MISSED OFF MOST LIKELY SO I CAN GET FURTHER INFO IF NEEDED WHEN I CAN GET ACCESS AGAIN TO VAN

No need to shout at us, we are all right here in the same forum.

I'm not 100% certain I'm finding the correct wiring diagram for the ABS module here, but lets see how this plays out.
  • SB1 >>> T46a/30 (red/white)
  • SB2 >>> T46a/1 (red/yellow)
  • SB17 >>> T46a/31 (red/black)

Those look to be terminal 30 (always have power), verify they can carry load (light up a test light at the very least).

T46a/35 (black/violet) looks to be the terminal 15 signal, ignition on to wake up the ABS, very it has power with ignition.

  • T46a/14 (brown)
  • T46a/46 (brown)
Those are your grounds, again, verify they can carry load.

  • T46a/42 >>> CAN high (orange/blue)
  • T46a/43 >>> CAN low (orange/brown)
With ignition on, check voltages to ground on each one, the 2 values should add up to about 5V in total.

Repair as needed, but the holy trinity (powers/grounds/data) are good, time to replace the ABS module.

I certainly ain’t shouting at you guys, maybe a lot of that being done towards the fault finding haha
