Hello everyone.
I recently flashed a stage two tune onto the vehicle in question, using the tuners cable and software. All fine and dandy. Tuning process was uneventful, everyone was happy.
Soon thereafter the customer complains that the thing is driving/acting strange, very little low end torque, slow spool, extremely hard starting when cold (can barely get it to start sometimes) with tremendous smoking upon startup, so forth.
Customer is immediately suspicious of the tune, I agree to check it out, and proceed to attempt diagnostics.
I contacted the tuner about these symptoms, and they request we set up and get some data logs for their examination.
This is when the plot thickens;
-whenever I try to communicate and connect to the ECU for datalogging with their tuning cable and software, it simply will not link up, which is very strange because it worked when I used it to tune the ECU.
-There are NO fault codes in the engine ECU, though there are various ones in the other controllers for intermittent/no communication with the ECU.
I am just not sure, I guess we could be using VCDS for datalogging....
But their cable should be working as well I would think.
