Hello,
I am new here so thank you in advance for welcoming me
I am in the middle of an engine swap from the 1.6 in the Caddy to a 2.0 CFFB from a 2011 Passat. Mechanically the engine and gear box is in with relatively no problems. I have had the Passat ECU coded into my Caddy clocks to no immobiliser issues.
I am however realising that I might be in trouble as the passat engine was a start stop and the Caddy is not. There are two relays (amongst some other things) that are missing from the caddy and this is giving me the following fault codes from VCDS
These codes are obviously showing as the start/stop architecture isnt present.
I have also tried to deactivate the start/stop from the ECU via VCDS (PR-7L6/7L8 Start/Stop System option) but it wont let me write this to the ECU, I get an error 31 request out of range.
Is there something I am missing here or do I now have two piles of scrap!!
Thanks in advance for your help
thanks in advance and happy to provide any extra details if it helps
