I suspect that Eric and Shaun would appreciate debug files from the tranny. I have little confidence that it really has 18 fault codes. The first two, maybe. But the other 16? The fact that they're sequentially numbered strikes me as fishy.

Ok tell me the exact steps to take - I got the impression that it wasn't able to scan some things cause it didn't know them - like cause it's cool new E-tron? :)

Let's do this first:

[Select]
[02-Auto Trans]
[Fault Codes]

It shows 18 of them, correct?

Uncheck the "Use Aggressive Mode" option toward the top right of the dialog.

VCDS should then query fault codes again?

How many show up? If more than 0, but fewer than 18, please use [Copy Codes] and paste the result here.

OK, then there's not much sense in making debug files.

I wonder what the the guys who put together the diagnostic stack in that TCU were thinking? :banghead:

Julie's 18 fault codes are identical to the 17 codes in my original scan on the first page (bar one :p) - So it's looking like it's 'factory'.
