It's lovely in the summer. 20 years ago:

But winter? That's a hard NO, at least for me.

As for the Stashe video above: Yep, totally the wrong use case for an EV.

If you had stayed Up Nord you could have been a U-per! ;) Definitely not a good place for an EV in winter.

Heck, the U-P is north of the most populous cities in Canada! Like I said, Winter? NOPE!

@Uwe You just gotta learn to chill-out - literally. Think of all the fun you're missing out on at -40 F. You could be out snowmobiling enjoying fresh air with no smoke from wildfires, enjoying wildlife along the way and even stopping at a local watering hole for some "antifreeze"... ;)

Not what was planned... or not planned well? ;)
I'm pretty sure we've had some videos posted about that guy's series hybrid adventures posted somewhere in this forum.

I'm surprised he wasn't able to do the math to determine that the generator was insufficient for his needs and that he'd be consuming a lot of petrol to run it.

Are you Buzzed??? ;)
The entire trip stretched 2,116 miles, averaging 2.4 miles/kWh at a cost of 18 cents per mile.
Wait, aren't EV's supposed to be cheap to run?

According to Fuelly, where I've logged every single fill up since I bought it 5-1/2 years ago, my RAM 1500 Ecodiesel has averaged 13.5 cents per mile:

At the risk of sounding like a broken record: The only sensible use-case for an EV is local driving and charging it at home.

But wait... The elites who fly into Davos in their private jets annually to determine how we must all live, have NOT approved George's PSA. Maybe they need a refresher course on "earth"? ;)
