Corrupt SFD token message

This is my first post.
Have a HEX-NET and am attempting to prepare for a battery change in my 2023 Pro S AWD ID4. The 12V is still good but I expect it will not last another year.
My understanding of the SFD token is that it is available through VCDS, but when I attempt the "Do It!" command to paste the token I get a "corrupt token" message.
I have attached a screen shot. Am I doing something wrong?
I would have attached a screen capture video but I don't think I am allowed to post videos.

Tokens are not available via vcds. You need to purchase them somewhere else.

Okay - if VCDS does not open an SFD protected module directly then how does the GEKO site work to unlock a module? If I pay for a code to unlock module 19 where and when do I enter this code? Do I paste the code into the screen area under the "Read Token" button and do I do it before or after selecting "Do It!". Do I overwrite the number that the "Read Token" button generates and copy and paste it after selecting "Release SFD"? I am a little concerned that I may loose information that I paid for on the GEKO/ODIS site.
I searched for this info in various places and videos online and have had no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

For some reason, VWAG seems to be unable to plug the leaks in their ship, and yes, they know the ship leaks.

If your need is not immediate or urgent, I'd advise you to stay away from sketchy sites like that and just stand by for a bit.

VCDS has had the ability to use "off-line" SFD tokens for a number of years now. You read the SFD challenge from from the control module, send it to someone who can stuff it into VAG's servers, which can generate an off-line token, and then you paste the off-line token back in, as shown here:

However, this method will soon be deprecated in favor of something better.
