I am having issues with my trunk's / boot's tailgate (depending on which side of the pond you’re messaging from).
I’ve had electric opening motors fall out (bracket snapped). I have since replaced the bracket, but in the process of doing so, I had to unplug and remove motors, which I later put back in. Putting them in position was quite a challenge and I am not sure if I’ve put them back in their original position (rotation). I am mentioning this as it might be related to the fact now my boot only opens to neck height (and when you’re 1.7m / 5ft7 it's not very high at all)
I’ve tried adapting the range both manually (using the button method) as well as via VCDS. I’ve adapted module 6D-Trunk Elect. channel 01 from 345 to 400 (which is max) and after an hour it has reset itself back to 345.
Just to be clear, at 345 it opens to my waist height, at 400 it opens to my neck height.
The button method doesn't allow setting it any higher (even if I push it all the way to the top and then do the buttons)
I’ve checked DTCs and I am reading that whilst boot is closed, it’s reading current position at 55%. When I push it (gently) to the position I really want it to open to, it’s reading 125%, when set to 400 it goes to 115.5%.
Another thing I am noticing and not sure if this is something to look into is End position Actual/last both show 0% ? I’ve opened and closed the boot a few times during diagnostic.
