We have a complete scan via email but it should be posted here by asferrari. We will not do so unless we have explicit permission to do so.

I just sent a reply so I'll paste that here for continuity:

Hello,

Those ABS controllers are usually coded at the dealer with a direct connection to headquarters. The process is referred to as "SVM" (Software Version Management) which is a system used by VW/Audi to flash update control modules, and in certain cases, to change their Coding, Adaptation and unlock Component Protection.

We do not have a tested procedure for this ABS module but we may be able to help. Please let us know:

1) Was the controller replaced or did it zero coding for another reason?

* If it was replaced please send the complete scan prior to repairs, or at the very least, confirm the SW and HW part numbers were identical and the coding you provided below was original to this car.

* If it was another reason please provide those details.

2) What is the exact error message when you attempt to copy and paste the coding into the controller?

3) Are you using a Security Access code when attempting to code it?

On that note, the only SA codes we are aware of are 40168 and 20103.

4) Address 16 is off-line. Is that related to the ABS/vehicle repairs and has that been resolved yet?

Regards,
Dana

P.S. I think this should be moved to Car Repair Support
