Unable to run Readiness tests on an Audi B7

I was trying to set the readiness in my neighbor's sons audi A4 (B7) 2.0T automatic with my VCDS,

but every time we went to step on the accelerator (after first depressing the brake), the engine would rev to red line and NOT hold at ~ 2300 rpms.

I ran the set readiness on my daughter's 05' MKIV jetta with no issues.

can anyone provide some insight as to why we could not run the set readiness tests on this audi????

What Basic Settings group(s) are you in when the engine won't hold RPMs reasonable with the brake applied?

I'm thinking the B7 2.0T should support the "Automatic Sequence" in Group 200, but that doesn't mean it doesn't also support individual tests in other groups.

Have you tried the [ON/OFF/Next] button on the Basic Settings screen?

Have you verfied that the ECU "sees" the brake being pressed?
