New user, New Shop, 2013 S4 no crank w/ p08500, Car down for years :(

hey guys,
New to this forum as a user usually a lurker, Ive got a 2013 S4 0b5 dsg that belongs to my buddy , there was a previous thread about this specific car if interested ill link it below, long story short it was at another shop and the ecu was replaced or one reason or another im not totally clear on, we no longer have the old ecu, the previous shop was able with the help of this forum to get the ecu coded but i believe it still may need programming can anyone look at the data i have and confirm? the suspicious items are in address 01 advanced measure values chassis number is ----------------- and number of adapted keys 0 , ins 05 auth chassis number shows correctly and number of keys adapted 3. The car is a no crank with p08500 setting in the ecu i believe it may be in CP due to no chassis number and keys and therefore not interpreting the can messages from the trans as in ECU gear reads 0 but in the trans gear position brake pedal dash all signals appear ok.

definitely agree with the first part, this is my best bud though has helped me alot and just looking to get a better direction, if it has to go to the dealer im just trying to confirm what to do next to un paper weight this thing. im normally a BMW guy would have been fixed already but four rings :facepalm:

The drama here is that if you do not have ODIS, you will be continually outsourcing to a dealer. More than likely the car will not get the care and respect it deserves and they will no got out of there way to give it the special attention it deserves to go again.

You might be better off giving this to a VAG nerd with the minerals to fix it honestly for you - Or at least post components if that is viable !!

Maybe remote ODIS ??

No VAG nerds here in western NY that I'm familiar with. An option may be daily subscription to ODIS and a j2534 pass through device which i can utilize , i tired a remote guy I use for BMW stuff but he would physically need the car and that's not an option. appreciate the responses

Highly doubtful. The hoops of fire that guys have reported they must jump through to get Immo rights is pretty onerous and I doubt they can be accomplished in a day. I'll allow that as usual I am wrong and some have gotten it done in a day. I simply do not see how it could be possible unless something drastically changed.

My question was a bit rhetoric, a friend of mine needed 3 months, only to be able to get odis + account. For immo, he stopped at getting a certificate, because these are not given to one man bussiness.

Credit Checks, Criminal Record Checks. Then you cannot have any VAG Logo on your website or building !! All that don't happen in a day !!

that's unfortunate , gonna have to pull some strings at the local dealer then. based on the scans and advanced ids does it seem as though i may be onto something? , side note my main experience is on bmw and getting ISTA+ license to program in 1 day is possible if you have a good internet connection for downloads, or at least it used to be.

Any comment I make is my experience in the UK. That would be similar throughout Europe I guess. Your NAR market can be very different.

ISTA P and ISTA D are very different breed to the Shit and awkward thing that is ODIS.

Mercedes Xentry is another ballache and expensive !! However you can charge £200 a pop to plug it in !!

Porsche is 12 months to get on board !!

I can help remotely. However I would need additional information. Lets start with basics. Car does not crank. Does the ignition come on? It looks like this vehicle has had a P085000: Park/Neutral Switch Input Circuit since 2021. Also the throttle percentage being 99.6% is rather odd. Almost as if its stuck wide open. In any case I can help remotely as it's a service I do provide. But I would address the P085000: Park/Neutral Switch Input Circuit first. This vehicle will not crank unless its certain that it has a working switch and the trans is in park.

Your ecm coding is wrong. It should be 0A250034052608060000. Is the ecm a new unit or used?

Audi of Rochester seems to have alot of butchers working there lmfao.

I've got a lot more information on this thing. To answer some of your questions here, im not 100% certain if it is used or new i believe it was new from the back and forth ive gathered. the throttle body is a big apr one and has not been adapted. the p085000 code ive chased down pretty thoroughly testing wiring and voltages from j393 to f305 to j623 and the trans most everything seemed to check out, ignition comes on normally , trans measuring values all read ok. shifter position matches in values in trans and dash . the ecu was coded only with vcds from what ive read in the thread i linked here. there's a lot more and a whole back story. Pm me , id like to set that up

small update, i got in another s4 this one a ctu 2015 but a 05b dsg it starts runs and drives, i compared measured values and advanced id to what was found in the prior thread . It seems that in 01 ecu the value of keys adapted being 0 is okay as the 2015 s4 also shows 0 keys adapted, vin does show in the 2015 in advanced id. the values in 46-08-042 all match properly the values of a known good car, also checked 05-08-005 and all values presented in the thread on the 2013 also match the 2015 known good car. i now have a suspicion there could be a harness difference maybe the pin for the park neutral input to the ecu is different on the new replaced ecu vs the old? i have found the diagrams for that but it doesn't list the pin number on the j623 side from t16r bl/sw to d114 to the j623 pin?? does anyone have a pin out for the 2 connectors t94 and the smaller one?

edit: i may have found the diagram through further searching as t94/11
