Add navigation/ WLAN to my car.

Greetings everyone, hope you all well.

I have a few questions.
My car (a 2018 VW Tiguan, R-line) today have a MIB2.5 Delphi system (3Q0035840C) without the navigation installed.
I have the latest SW 0879 (MST2_EU-VW_P0879D), HMI SW H29.319.29.3_STD2Plus_EU

I do have the OCU for SOS and connectivity and with the 2 USB ports and AUX port.
Its also equiped with Cookpit dashboard.
It is also patched with iCarPlay etc.

Is it possible to activate/ turn on navigation via long coding/ adding fec SWaP codes.

IF NOT:
I have got a MIB3 together with a brand new screen (with the NAV button on it) in the basement.
What would I need (in hardware) to convert my MIB2.5 to MIB3?
I do have access to ODIS at work in worst case.

Would really appreciate any help i can get on this.

If it was so simple...

Non-navigation MIB units don't have the blue nav antenna connector - how is navigation supposed to work without the appropriate antenna?

Others may chime on the MIB3.

Honestly, when you have Waze or Google Maps over CarPlay, wired or not, why would you need anything else?

However, if you would have read my question with all the information that i gave in it you would have noticed that i gave you the part number 3Q0035840C wich is a navigation supporting MIB2.5. It does have the blue GPS antenna in the back (wich is connected), BUT it's not activated in the display.
My question was if it's possible to activate it my self or not.

In Sweden where i'm at, the caer is worth more with navigation than without. Simple as that.
But yes, i'm all in for Waze and carplay.

3Q0035840C’s are STD2Plus which is confirmed in the info you gave.

STD2Plus do not support Nav, so I would be sure in saying it doesn’t have the Blue GPS Connector.

Here in the UK we get 3Q0035842 since we have DAB, so I googled 840 models and they don’t have a blue GPS connector

And be prepared for a galore of other problems then. MIB2 and MIB3 are not fully interchangeable. MIB3 uses ethernet for digital connections. Also your OCU will not work with MIB3.
You'll lose all online connectivity you now have and it is not a very easy unit to hack.
