mine shows 5000 on the forum statistics.... ? maybe thats 5000 threads on the site. but doesnt include ones that were erased maybe

No sure what's up with that. I don't think we've ever erased an entire thread. Threads that we don't want normally get moved someplace where they can't be seen by the public instead. However, there's a similar situation with user numbers. The forum software claims we currently have 5,802 members, yet newest member is number 6061.
