I also did the old map sensor got different results. But I am not getting the P1592 code with the old map sensor plugged in. FYI the Atmospheric pressure currently where I am at is 1025.7

This I can live with....
The small variation between the barometer reading you're getting from the news or weather app vs the vehicle is acceptable.
Logic says that your atmospheric pressure should match what's in your charge pipes if there's no boost, so we can carry onto the next issue now.

So re-scan, repost current status.
Fix the known leak.
Re-log things.
Re-post.

Throw AI into the garbage, or use it for stupid stuff like making funny pictures, memes, songs, etc.

Rely on logic and your brain instead.

ok, fixed leaks, put stock map sensor back in. here is the latest running log. other codes are gone, just the p0641, and others related to interior of the vehcle, like p1698 which I'm sure is just the steering calibration needing done even tho the steering wheel controls for the gauges and stereo stopped working.

But now there is a new problem that kinda collates with my window issues. hear me out on this. so the windows did work, but then stopped, found corrosion in both window switches, I replaced the switches, they worked for a few minutes then stop, I have to unplug the battery then back in and they will work for a few minutes. Repeat the process to get them to work for a few minutes. Now after getting leaks fixed and reinstalled the original map, the car would not start, never been an issue before just like the windows, I unplugged the battery to drain/reset the system, motor then fired right up no problem. it ran for a few minutes then just shut off, gauges and power were still on but the motor stopped running like i turned it off, then would crank but not fire unless I unplug the battery and reset, then it'll start right up and run for a few minutes. Keep in mind it fires up no problem, idles smooth and revs to its limp rpm smooth and no noticeable motor issues and 2900rpms. boost gauge goes up to 20psi, not sure how accurate that is. Now without the stupid internet, my own deductions are starting to really point at a damaged/ failing ecu, I get to this from process of elimination with my knowledge, Harness new and verified, so not damaged wiring, checked all grounding points I could find with a multimeter, the original harness got damaged while it was running which shut the motor down, this kinda damage could've shorted more than one wire causing a back feed to the ecu possibly damaging it. now with incremental systems failing one by one, I pulled the bcm and visually inspected for burn or water damage on the board, it was clean. These are just my thoughts, and I may very well be wrong, hoping this latest log will help narrow. I am keeping open minded

What in dafuq are you going on about?
What is this limp rpm bs? Have you driven this heap? Most modern CRs won't allow some hooligan to sit stationary and just redline them .. the ECU limits stationary rpm to 2500 or 3000 depending on model, etc. This way, when a clown stands on the go pedal due to their massive red shoes, they can't damage things

Расслабься, друг. I posted the recent log. I'll get the scan. No i have not driven it, only down my driveway into my shop. Never knew they were limited in park. When I got it home on a trailer, which was because it literally said limp mode on the dash. Newest car I've owned is 2006, and my wife's 2013 ford edge, they all will let you rev to red even in park. So my bad. But now with it just shutting down i cannot drive it anywhere. Going on tho? I didn't know i wasn't suppose to explain what it's actually doing and what my thoughts were. Feels like I'm back in Russia! Ничего не говори, бойся, правительство заставит тебя замолчать навсегда!

I had to take Russian in elementary school because we were occupied by you guys so quit whining and bringing up politics.... This is a diag forum.

If you'd rather trade stories about living or growing up in communist regimes, at least edit the topic so that I know wtf the point of the post is. :D

So it will run for about 6 minutes when cold, then shut itself off. If I unplug the battery, let it set for a few minutes, plug it back in it'll start and run again but for a shorter time. The Supply Voltage for Fuel Injector Group B P2149 - 000 - Open Circuit is a new code. Probably just me, but seems that once it gets warmed up enough it shuts down. Not sure. Did another running log, started the log about 2 minutes into it running then left the log going after it shut itself down. Included in this log is each Injector. Hopefully it shows something.

p2149 is a new code that i have not seen before.
So check wiring\harness. The CJAA's are notorious for having harnesses fray and wear against things.... first place I'd look is where it loops around the oil filter housing.... it's been a minute since I've had a CJAA, so I can't recall where the injector harness is routed through off the top of my head, but I'm sure if you look at the FSM, it will tell you.

Once again, why are you logging what you're logging. What do you think you're capturing, or showing?
You have a DTC for an electrical\wiring issue, but you're showing us injector deviations?
Are you expecting a wiring issue to manifest in a out of whack injector deviation? What's the logic? Asking for a friend!

Didn't think it would show anything. Just logged them to see what they were doing and if there was a noticeable difference in any of them.

Ok. So i found a damaged wire in the harness buried underneath the vacuum pump, by the coolant temp sensor on the engine. Brown with green stripe, from what i can find that is a a ground sensor wire, tracking with the issue for p0641. You can see it in the pictures. I'm going to remove the engine harness so I can give it a thorough inspection to see if there are anymore. Thank you for sticking with my stubborn dumb ass.

There are several sensors and components that share that color wire, so I suggest you unplug the ECM and find out which pin on the harness you get continuity with. This way, you can look at a WD to locate the component linked to it... it could be your crank sensor, cam sensor, intake manifold flap, etc.

Ok. Been sick for a bit, finally getting back into this piece of crap! So do I need to disassemble the plug for the ecu to find the pin? I can't find shit for a on diagram for this f'ing thing! I'm getting tired of the lack of info or diagrams, lots of forums but no real flipping help.

My crystal ball is broken. No idea what you're looking at that doesn't show you info. Post it up and someone will read it for you if you're lost.

I'm talking about the harness for the glow plugs and injectors and such that go to a black connector into the ecu/pcm/ecm. Trying to find a diagram/ image/ picture that correlates the pin to the wire color that goes to it without disassembling the top of the plug to physically see the wires. Doesn't really matter at this point. I fixed the damaged wire, put the harness back in, now the pos won't start at all, just cranks. So there has to be a damaged wire/ wires that is not showing any external signs of wear on the loom, but the simple moving of the harness is disrupting the signal. So I need to remove the harness again and remove the oem wire loom protecting the wire so I can hopefully find where the break is. I know testing it thru the pin of the ecu plug that I can't find a diagram for will help narrow down to which wire/ wires, but not where in the harness it is damaged. Unless you have a better way that my Neanderthal brain isn't thinking of.

So you're working blindly! Weird that info isn't visible on a wiring diagram that you don't have. Places like Erwin would have all the info, but if you'd rather do it cavemen style, that's your call.

Since the POS isn't starting, did you log anything to see what's missing? Do you have crank signal, fuel pressure, any DTCs, VCDS telling you anything?

If you're just an ape, maybe you should let someone with a diagnostic bone in their body try to fix it for you.

Erwin never came up in any of my searches that I'm aware of. I've had three other people trying to find a diagram for a 2013 vw beetle tdi on the internet. None of us can find a diagram that's worth a shit that actually shows or helps. Apparently it's a big secret society that forces you to take it to a dealer, and the people that may know where that info is, it's like pulling teeth to get them to tell you where or give you a url. Like asking a question and getting a question as the answer, sometimes reasonable but fml! As for DTCs they are exactly the same as before on my last dtc I posted, no changes other than the car won't start now. I'd rather fly blindly with maybe some useful help then pay some other asshole $175 an hour to just tell me to throw my wallet at it instead of diagnosing it. Most of our shops around here are a joke. Currently Trying to convince my friends brother who is great at electrical diagnostics and familiar with vag com to help, I'll even pay him at this point cause I actually trust him to help find the problem and not just tell me "you need a new harness, you need this, you need that"
I mean what the hell, I've been on multiple forums now looking into the window issue and steering wheel buttons not works, allot with the same problems, replacing parts recommended and not fixing the issue, the forums just go silent with no one actually posting what our if they ever found the route of the issue. F'ing frustrating, lots of the same issues with absolutely no signs of a fix. Waffle waffle

For example on one of my air cooled vw's I was working on it ran into a brick wall with a idling issue, after replacing a few things, a very trusted air cooled vw tech_mechanic that's been in business for over 40 years and I've been a customer/ friend for over 30 years now, one of the last in our area, he was trying to help, he over thought it, thinking it maybe was something with the valves, I took the motor to his shop, we disassembled the motor down to the crank case, he could not find anything. Put the motor back together, then found out the diaphragm in the fuel pump was damaged due to the previous owner installing to long of a push rod for the pump. Complete motor go thru for just a stupid fuel pump. I really try to not over think the problem, keep it simple stupid is my first thoughts. Sometimes it's right there but you know to much and over think the actual problem. Anyway no more waffling.
