Key Remote Programming Help Required

Basically fighting a losing battle with a customers 2004 B6 Audi A4

I lost the keys to the car and reordered a new key from from Audi Dealer as instructed by local locksmith

When I received the key the locksmith was unable to marry the key to the car....

So sent the car to an authorised Audi dealer who said clocks are dead and needed new clocks at 900 quid, started to loss will to live at this point and sent car to a ecu specialist who took immo off but still couldn't marry the key (I also failed via VCDS)

But recently been told the CCM in the car is from 2006 B7 Audi and highly possible that the key I lost was a b7 Key replaced some time ago from a previous owner

So my question is will a B6 Key not marry with a B7 CCM and can I solve this simply by replacing either Key remote with a B7 or the CCM with a B6 to match the new key I purchased.

Hopefully some guru can shed some light on this for me I`m a newbie at this game and really need this motor sorted.

Yes UWE the car starts and runs but will flash the hazzard lights constantly and I cant seem to get the FOB adapted for the RCL, I`ve a suspicion the ECU still has IMMO OFF

If for an example i bump started the car down hill with key in position 2 car will start but wont flash the hazzards

Remotes are separate from the Immobilizer in RB4.

I do see a no COM for immobilizer in 0x09.....

This cluster is just that.......a cluster if someone tampers with cheap china tools.

Yeah the engine won't answer the cluster if defeated in 0x01-10-091? Status 01

Would a 2004 ECU KEY Cluster CCM solve this problem and get the car sorted if lifted from a running vehicle will any coding need to be done other than FOB and convenience preferences ?

I paid allot of money so far to get the car back in this state now from a "ECU Specialist" I repair turbos and light diagnostics and purchased vcds to cover vag range.

Only fault thats simple is the G58 Squib thats also been damaged since the car being returned

Probably, but then the electronics in the car would forever have the wrong VIN in them. Not sure of that's a problem for your MOT inspections; it definitely is for some of our emissions inspections here.

It seems the ECU has been swapped out now as well, as you pointed out the VIN listed on the scan does not match the chassis VIN but thats not a problem for MOT inspection over here

Since the remotes are handled by the Central Convenience system, I don't have high confidence that an ECU and Cluster will fix this.

I am also getting a new key and ign barrel, but previous garage has IMMOB off on this ECU

What component causes the hazzard lights to flash when key is cycled, Is it because the engine start is not permitted and will start due to IMMOB off.

Quite possible Audi has ballsed up the new key I ordered

Hi Audi is back

Got the Immo sorted since last time just swithced over ecu/clocks and changed blade in key car starts and runs great only problem I have is the key remote programming
