ACC fault on UK 2023/73 VW T6.1 after 2x radar replacements post crash

Hi all, I am stumped.

2023 73 plate UK VW T6.1

Vehicle had a front end impact, all damaged parts replaced.

Front radar was the only electrical component that was replaced due to the radar module being damaged beyond repair. This was replaced again after the faults below would not clear.

Used radar fitted, supplied by garage, part numbers checked and perfect match. Software number matched but H number is different, put that down to different year of manufacturer and one is Made in Germany and one is Made in China. Done used Radar units previously and had no issues.

ODIS used for Component Protection, coding, parameters etc and calibration (Dynamic). All completed correctly with no reported issues about the process. Dynamic calibration completed twice on 2nd radar module, both times went through fine.

The test plans are just going round in circles with no solution, just tells me to "Continue with test plan in other module".

From Google translate, it is related to "Stopping Distance"?

This is the 2nd radar to be coded, same result so I am inclined to think it is not the radar module.

Checked for relevant TPIs, couldn't see any but if anyone knows of one then please let me know, Software updates checked via SVM for both 03 and 13, nothing found. Coding checked in ABS online, all good.

I've seen once before a case where online function restore wrote wrong FeCs for the radar and this way the coding did not match. And I presume you did do function restore to the radar on top of CP and SVM?

Can you check from module 13 measurement values, what do the SWaP statuses show?

Yes, the FEC's are done as part of the "Replace Module" test plan and I also did it separately via FES after the first road test and the results were the same:

The Following FS ID(s) is/are enabled:
FSC 1: 10009008 / MRR package 8: ACChigh (ACC S&G)+FrontAssist incl.
FSC 2: 10009205 / AWV version "AWV1,2,3, vFGS, vFRS

I repeated the steps individually in case the "Replace Module" test plan wasn't doing everything fully and no joy.

This was the case with BOTH the replacement radar units, which reduces the likelihood of the radar being the issue but the FECs being wrong I hadn't considered!

I'll be revisiting the vehicle tomorrow so will check the SWaP statuses. Thanks!

How could posting the VIN affect the VW warranty, it isn't GDPR relevant data? From the VIN, professionals can see the cars full build data and VAG specialists like myself, can see the Digital Service System data.

Thanks for confirming, I couldn't see any issues with the FECs either.

I reached out to the garage and they've said that repairing this wiring fault in the above autoscan cured the ACC issue:

29083 - Coolant Temp Sensor 1 for Intercooler
P00DE 00 [10100111] - Electrical Malfunction

No further details other than the sensor right behind the EGR pipe and had a split in the wiring.

I would have liked to have been involved with the final repair so I could have seen the resolution myself but everything requested of me was done on the previous visit (CP, parameters and coding of the Radar Module plus the dynamic calibration as an extra task as they didn't initially request it) so they saw no need for me to return.
