Hi, sorry for the somewhat delayed follow up.
  • autoscan does work with the alpha version, will this become at some time the beta or standard version; i.e. can I perform at some moment a normal update (I was on alpha channel till 19th May)
    • VIN is OK and visible
    • mileage is missing
  • advanced measuring values works more or less, however units are missing and even if the values have a link when you click on the value you do not get any extra information. I tried this on address 08 (airco) and 3D (special functions)
  • the HUD system seems more or less not to work (tested on 08 and 3D as well)
    • data windows do not show data you assigned to them
    • data windows disappear
    • gauge is not displaying the value that is attached to it
  • is there any hope that the HUD system will be working in the future, or is there a subset of HUD displays that are working

HUD saved disappear randomly, after restart they are visible but the content may be empty or wrong
Does somebody arrives in getting stable HUD behaviour, the idea seems great but for the moment it looks useless. Show Adv. Meas. Val. works on mobile, except the units.

Try this in mobile: [Options] -> [Clear Dataset Cache] then delete any old HUD saves for this module and create a new HUD. Measuring values can move around between datasets now, sometimes to completely different values. Not sure if this is the cause, but it might be.

Hi, I'm sorry to say, but in my opinion HUD is not operational at the current stage.
I did all you proposed, made new HUD for airco and also for the engine, nothing worked as it should:
  • sometimes the saved HUD would not be visible, and then it was visible after restarting (or not)
  • if the HUD was visible then sometimes nothing became visible when I clicked on it, or I got a screen with wrong values
  • had to spontaneous reboots of VCDS mobile (i.e. needed to logon again)
  • same behavior with the VCDS mobile app or Firefox

Just to confirm, advanced measuring values works correctly though, right? I will look into the problems with the HUD.

Yes, AMV works. Would be nice if you could get HUD working, allows to predefine and save items you want to observe during a drive. BTW what does HUD stand for?

HUD is an acronym for Head-Up Display. There is a test fix for the live data HUD now available on the alpha channel. I would be curious how well this works for you, and if there are any ongoing issues. If you are willing to test this, let me know and I will put your interface onto the alpha channel so that you can try this update.

I switched your channel to Alpha for HUD testing. No rush on this but it will revert back to Beta on 2026-06-30. We can always increase that later.

Sorry to say, but HUDs are still not working, values shown are not related to actual data (I had selected #30 and engine rpm) but had 0, 1 and 2 as result and non-relevant descriptions. I'm willing to test again after a major repair effort by you, for the moment HUDs are in my opinion not operational!
